Go through border formalities on both checkpoints. Cross 1. Meet your Uzbekistan guide and drive to Nukus 30 km, 20 min. Check in hotel. The museum hosts the world's second largest collection of Russian avant-garde art and exposition of Karakalpak applied arts items.
Free time. Overnight at the hotel. Start a full day trip to Aral Sea through Ustyurt Plateau. The distance till the water line of Aral Sea is km and it takes approximately hours to cover it. Pass via Kungrad district, which used to be one of the trading centers on the Silk Road. Continue to the Aral Sea.
On the way see a lighthouse, pass by the settlement of the gas plant. Stop to take pictures of beautiful canyons and the collapsed land. Arrive at the Aral Sea. Set up the tent. Overnight in the yurt. Meals: Lunch, Dinner. Early wake up to take pictures of sun rise. After breakfast head back to Nukus. Drive on the dried bottom of the sea. Lunch on the way to Nukus.
